Here it is!  Many think that prayer answered is directly related to our receiving what we deserve.  Honey, let me tell you our God loves us FAR too much to give us what we deserve!  He gave us HIS SON.

The ABC Award also known as the Awesome Blog Content Award was presented to my by Caddo Veil - thank you dear sister for this delightful challenge.  I admit, at first the notion of following the  rules by providing you all with a list of 26 tidbits about myself and in alphabetical order seemed wild.  I wasn’t sure I had 26 secrets left, much less one for each letter, but once I got going I loved this challenge and took it a step further and challenged myself to come up with 26 statements or words related to my personal walk with Christ as that is the most important thing in my life – my relationship with Him. 

The second part of the challenge is to find folks to nominate.  I can think of countless folks who have awesome blog content but am still working on finding ones who either have not already received this honor or who would enjoy the challenge of a nomination.  Help me out, friends.  If you are drawn to the  challenge, pop me  a comment and let me know.  I’ll be editing this post to add the links to all of my nominees, but meanwhile here is a list of not so secrets related to my heart for Him. 

A is for Abba whom I love so very much

B is for His Beautiful Face which I seek in all that lives and breathes

C is for Christ crucified for me

D is for the debt He paid

E is for everlasting life which He won for me

F is for His favor shown to all who accept Him as Lord

G is for God in whom I trust and follow through the Trinity

H is for heaven and a place for me there

I is for infinite grace and love which is mine even when I lose focus

J is for Jesus, my Jesus who is with me always

K is for the King of Kings and I am His child

L is for my Lord to whom I sing praises

M is for His majesty over heaven and earth

N is for no worries needed – He is always with me (I’m working on giving up my worries

O is for His opening the gates of heaven for us by His death

P is for penitence for it is Lent as I write this

Q is for “qavah” which is Hebrew hope and joyous anticipation

R is for resurrection – Christ’s from the dead at Easter

S is for singing Hallelujah to Him who loved me too much to live in heaven without me

T is for the Trinity in whom all my hope lies

U is for unity as one body of Christ

V is for His victory over death – won for me

W is for tbe wonder of a Christ-centered life

X is for Yahweh – the Hebrew name for God in the Bible

Y is for saying “yes Lord” and the wonderful new life I immediately had

Z is for Zion – city of God

Whether it’s the quote from Proverbs or from Blake, love is the vehicle for change.  The question becomes, does it change “things” around us? Not necessarily.  It changes US. 

With Christ as our center we see through His eyes and our choices, plans, and outlook reflect His love if we maintain our focus on Him.   So, I ask you – what are you looking at?

Dear Friends, At about 8 pm tonight, my girlfriend Wendy had a heart attack.  I was there with her when it happened.  It just happened out of the blue.  I am still in shock as I write this I think. She has been life flighted to Ft Wayne Hospital.  She is in a coma right now.  The doctors are saying the next 24 hours are crucial. Wendy died 4 times tonight.  The first time was with me.  911 Told me what to do and I had her breathing again when the EMS people got there.  Then she died 3 more times …

Please pray for Wendy and check his blog for updates. She is still critical.

I teach creative writing and story telling to children ages 3 to 10 and the story has been well received when I told them the story in class. 

I am unpublished, have no agent and am seeking traditional publishing rather than self publishing. 

I would love to hear of your experiences and believe that many others here would enjoy and benefit from our shared experiences as well.

At first, this seemed unremarkable as He said it to me just now.  I adore Him and believe He can do all things, so why tell me this?  Know what?  He could walk on water whenever He chose to, but He didn’t go for a stroll on a lovely spring or summer day with blue skies and sunshine and a gentle breeze cooling His human sweat . . . 

His chosen were battling a wind storm and it was on this occasion that He revealed Himself in this profound way.  He got up and charged into the storm and the seas became calm.  Notice, when He walked toward them on the wind driven rough waters, they were full of fear and unaware that He was near.  They thought He was a ghost.  He is close by us at all times, and in particular when we face rough seas.  He still walks on the stormy seas of our life just as He did then and He still commands the storm to pass.
