Despair is the ultimate deception.  Take heart!

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed;

we are perplexed, but not in despair;

    I turn to psalms in the face of despair. There is an amazing amount of despair expressed there!

    Beautiful passage describing Paul’s realization of the victory believers have in Jesus. In Christ, we have been given all spiritual blessings… and that’s more than enough. Thanks and God bless.

    • Thank you and blessings to you as well. Paul’s letters are always a source of inspiration to me! You are so right about those blessings “more than” we can “desire or pray for” indeed!

    Oh, I definitely love this, Martha–but then, it seems I’m loving just about everything I see here! Surely you’re a sister angel sent to hold my hand and give me a boost! Thank you so much–sending prayers of blessing your way!

  4. I love what I do and am so blessed to be enabled. My prayer HUGELY A PETITION TO THE LORD is that He provide the financial provision I so badly need and somehow free me to do what I’m doing with my writing and perhaps some related ministry. I would so love to be in some sort of pastoral care role and writing speaking of His love as a vocation. I hate that money needs to be a factor in this.

  5. Oh, Caddy I meant to add I am overjoyed to be your Sister Angel! Hugs to you!

  6. Caddo Veil says:

    Martha–I am adding your prayer concern to my “get serious” list. But I have to be selfish for a sec–if you go on to bigger things, will you still have time to blog? Will I still have access to my Sister Angel??

    And by the way, you’re invited to dinner here anytime–I almost always have something “interesting” and more or less healthful! (I gave away my sofa bed, or you’d be welcome that too!) Bunches of hugs to you as well, Caddy

  7. Wow. You amaze me. Let’s see . . thanks for the “serious prayer” listing. You will NOT lose contact with me. Unless the Lord forces it, the blog will not stop. It was His idea not mine and I love it like many things He tells me to do which I try to talk Him out of. I should learn to say yes and know better. As to dinner, I am forgetting something. Are you in SC? Are you in the Charleston area? You are such a sweet Sister and I’m so happy to all you my sister!

  8. Caddo Veil says:

    No, lovey–I’m all the way up in the Pac NW, Seattle area. You’re in the Charleston area, I take it? Well, if the Lord sends you up here for some reason, the invite is still open!! God bless you~~ Caddy xxoo
