God Bless The USA

Lee Greenwood and this amazing song “Proud to be an American” is high on my list of songs for any time of the year, but especially right now with the 4th of July approaching and so many friends – some of whom I’ve never met but still appreciate – overseas serving in our military right now.  Play this song and sing with me! Sing to them and with them!

Thanks for serving, everyone!  God bless you all!

  1. I can’t say I’ve always been proud to be an American. Sometimes I am, other times I’m not. But I *can* say I feel blessed to have been born and raised in in a country where I am free to worship an awesome God; I can share that faith freely and I can pray without hiding in fear. It’s a blessing to be an American but it’s even better to be saved. 🙂

    • Thanks for your comment. I am sorry to be delayed in responding but there’s a problem going around WP of late and some folks’ comments are landing in “spam” even when they are folks like you who are frequenting the blog on which you comment. Wish they’d fix that. I didn’t used to check the messages on my spam since so many are vulgar . . . wonder how many lovely ones like your own I might have missed?

You are right in what you say. We do sometimes act in ways we shouldn’t but we are blessed to be free to worship our beloved Lord. We are also fortunate to be free to admit we aren’t always proud. So many places in the world would jail us or worse . . .
