Weekly Photo Challenge – Beyond

What Lies Beyond?

The path is long.

It has been rough

And I’ve stumbled so many times,

But still . . .

The trees often parted

And in the open space,

Blue sky and sunshine was revealed,

And gave me hope to rise up,

To dust off,

To take a deep breath,

To look beyond the ordinary,

To take another step,

Then another . . .

To climb the steep slope,

To slip,

Then to keep on climbing,

For beyond lies . . .

Paradise!

    • Thanks. I took this at Mepkin Abbey which is a monastery in SC and is an amazing and beautiful place. Oh, the grounds . . . . words can’t describe this beautiful place that the monks share with all of us.
