Aw, love this!
Wow. eye opening!
This survey by the Barna Group is worth a glance if it causes us to reflect on who others see in us; Jesus or Pharisee?
By the time I had made it through the article I was questioning some of my own attitudes and actions. As much as I didn’t want to admit it, it appears there may be a little more Pharisee residing in this heart of mine than Kingdom living allows. Here’s a sampling, and the entire article with some neat charts can be found here.
Actions like Jesus:
- I listen to others to learn their story before telling them about my faith.
- In recent years, I have influenced multiple people to consider following Christ.
- I regularly choose to have meals with people with very different faith or morals from me.
- I try to discover the needs of non-Christians rather than waiting for them to come to me.

We are all difficult to love and yet we all, in our secret hearts, desire to change others. What a great post this i to remind us who God is and that we are NOT Him!
Gosh, it is so difficult to face our fear(s) and this is made still more difficult since most of us cannot or will not admit to them. They can be crippling though. In seeking strength to face and be delivered of some challenges I’m dealing with just now I turned to the Bible. Thanks to technology and Bible Gateway I can assure you that we are not alone in this. The Lord knows our hearts and desires to make us new creatures. In the NIV translation of the Bible this word “fear” is mentioned 336 times. Clearly, He desires to deliver us. I want to be all He wants me to be for Him. Here are a few encouraging verses:
Wow, is this timely for something I’m battling with. Gonna share it. Important message.
Beware, keep alert, for you do not know when the time will come. Mark 13:28-37 I used to fight sleep; especially when I was trying to get something done. But the reality is that I’m just not that effective or creative when I am tired. I want to give God all that I have, receive all that God has to give and be ready when the time comes. The only way I can do this is to take the proper rest and trust God’s timing.
I am on the way out the door and feeling in need of solving all the troubles around me . . . He knows so much better than I. (stopping to breathe) Joyce Meyer Ministries sent this quote which say sit all:
