The Strength of Tenderness

pansy2

The ground is hard beneath my feet,

The air so sharp.

Still I travel

Where you lead

Hoping for a sign.

Stopping for a moment’s rest,

I discover hope’s gentle face

And sweet scent

Beckoning me on.

I smile,

Then rested and restored,

I travel on.
