The beautiful Autumn leaves

Used to speak of death to me

For as they fell

Bare branches were left in their wake,

But I was wrong.

The colorful carpet formed

Beneath my feet

Prepares for new life to come!

Bare branches await the buds of Spring’s new life!

Death has no place here

For victory is won!

STRESS DEMYSTIFIED!

Crisis! Crisis! Crisis!

So, I stand here tired and stressed and facing the crisis of today and wondering WHAT WILL BE THE CRISIS OF TOMORROW . . . 

Problem with this line of thinking?  

The Lord already had the solution for today’s crisis YESTERDAY and while I’m running ahead fussing about tomorrow, HE’S HOLDING OUT HIS HANDS TO ME WITH THE SOLUTION I NEED RIGHT NOW.  

All I have to do is accept His Gift!

Not Just Another Dog Tale

The dog was shaking and barking when I entered the room then jumped into my waiting arms, suddenly quiet, snuggled close, grew still and rested. Nothing really changed in his circumstances, just his awareness of my presence and my love . . . which changed everything. The Lord is with us . . . His waiting arms reaching . . . Martha L Shaw

The white-haired lady

Sitting quietly in her rocker on the porch

In solitary joy

Sported a wreath of flowers on her head,

Reminder of another day and time.

As she turned the pages

Of her life,

She smiled.

She was not alone.
