HOPE AND FEAR
May 31, 2016Lamentations 3:54-58
54 the waters closed over my head,
and I thought I was about to perish.
55 I called on your name, Lord,
from the depths of the pit.
56 You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears
to my cry for relief.”
57 You came near when I called you,
and you said, “Do not fear.”
58 You, Lord, took up my case;
you redeemed my life.
FACE UP TO IT
May 30, 2016Day three . . . will the rain EVER stop?
My mood was falling like the raindrops
So I stepped outside.
I looked up at the clouds
Intending to share a piece
Of my mind!
Instead,
The cooling, cleansing drops had their way
And I laughed
Then pounced in the nearest puddle!
I was young again!

ATTITUDE NEEDS CHANGING?
May 28, 2016It may be the epitome
of frustration
to face a smile when distressed
but not for me!
I’m wearing the smile!

LOOK FOR IT!
May 28, 2016The sun still shines
on dark rainy days.
You can see it reflected
in EVERY puddle!

Rise With A Song And A Prayer
May 28, 2016Martha L Shaw - Poet, Writer, Author, Artist
How we feel does not need to rule the day. Hope is within us. Pray with me . . . Lord, I give my all to you and ask that you enable me to reflect your joy and hope on this day and always. Amen
In you, Lord my God,
I put my trust.
Psalm 25:1
LOVE IS GREATER
May 25, 2016They pointed and shook their heads.
“Not a grain of common sense,” they said.
Still she moved ahead.
“What is she thinking?”
She followed the path.
They called her names,
but it did not sway her.
Throwing things at her did nothing
to change her mind.
EXHAUSTION,
heat,
hunger,
threats. . .
loss of friends,
still she answered the same way.
“Follow me!” He’d invited.
Eagerly, she did.
