Joy In The Lord Is Like . . .

If  these were leaves

And I was five again,

I would leap into the air,

Land in a giggling heap of joy,

Then raise my arms in gleeful abandon

And do it all over again!

I just might anyway!

At this time of year, we don’t have piles of leaves so you might find yourself going splat on the ground, which would be harmful and not a joy-producing event. However, in the fall, we have mountains of leaves piled up at the street — then you can fall into them and become like a child again! Loved the poem. Thanks.

  2. It just hurts more now that our bones are older. Can’t wait for the unbreakable body.
