Choose joy and happiness! It IS up to us! Paul’s beautiful and encouraging letters in the Bible were mostly written while bruised and bleeding and near death in a prison cell . . .

GRACE UNMASKED

There have been so many times of crisis in my life, and still to come Im sure.  BUT one thing I have learned is that when I finally calm down, let peace fill me, and surrender to the Lord, His grace opens my eyes and heart to discover incredible gifts of love surround me which my fear blinded me from receiving!

 

 

THE SECOND VERSE

Oh darkness,

you cannot hide

my seemingly elusive joy.

For,

in my heart exists the Lamp

to guide me to it

PEEKING THROUGH THE CURTAINS

As I approach His table this coming weekend

there will be candles lit

and singing

and I will smile and think of  your birthday,

but there will be no cake

or wrapped packages

for you are on the other side now.

You have my love

and I have yours

but you have one thing more.

You live with Him

in the special place He prepared just for you.

I asked Him to give you a birthday hug

My late Mom, like my Nana  before her, spent time in her declining years peeking out the windows and making up little stories of what might be going on in the neighborhood, who’s cat wandered by, who had the holiday lights lit . . . they are on the other side of the veil, but I know they’re peeking!
