Twittering Tales #19 – 28 February 2017

February 28, 2017

COME AND PLAY! Mine is hand written-to be shared soon!

like mercury colliding...

About the challenge: Each Tuesday I will provide a prompt photo, and your mission is to tell a story based on that prompt in 140 characters or less. If you accept the challenge, be sure to let me know in the comments with a link to your tale. A final note: if you need help tracking the number of characters in your story, there is a nifty online tool that will count for you
I will do a roundup each Tuesday, along with providing us a new prompt. Have Fun!
Here is our round up for this week’s prompt…a photo of a lovely, eerie, other-worldly, romantic, terrifying water-locked house on stilts set under a meteor dashed night sky. What imaginations you all have! I think this is one of my favorite twitter challenges yet. Thanks to everyone who gave it a try this week!

I stepped into my quiet place,

My favorite retreat.

The leaves still whispered in the breeze.

The birds still sang softly in the trees.

I gaze up at the blue sky,

enjoying their music.

My soul rejoices.

For this is not a place for silence.

It is the place where my soul

Can truly hear!

Martha L Shaw - Poet, Writer, Author, Artist

Love is not a word to translate

But rather the joining of two hearts,

Two souls as one.

It transcends all differences,

For they become blessings.

If we believe in Love,

We change the world

One heart at a time!

Hope Rises

February 24, 2017

My bread dough rises like the sun

In a cold unleavened sky.

My heart is warmed,

My hands reaching out

To prepare the loaf it will become,

To bake,

To break,

To share.
