REFLECTED BLESSINGS!

We cannot have shadows in the darkness.

So, if you see one on a rainy day,

and you cannot find the sun,

that sunny brightness

MUST be reflected from you!

For the Light costumed by darkness,

I thank you, Lord.

For the beauty I know but cannot see,

I thank you, Lord.

For the music I cannot hear yet still I dance

And thank you, Lord.

For your secret healing of my every need,

I thank you, Lord.

For living in this broken human’s heart,

I thank you, Lord.

For using me anyway,

All my love and thanks and praise to you.

When I got my first home, knowing nothing of gardening, I was amazed when the neglected yard suddenly come spring had lilies in bloom!  When I relocated some years later filled with hopes and dreams, I also faced many unexpected challenges. I still do. Come spring though, I was again surprised by lilies!  I still know nothing about gardening, but I know my Savior’s redeeming love.  I saw it that day in the lilies He gave to me! The lilies bloomed again today – an ever living reminder of His love!

FREEDOM IS AN ILLUSION

Freedom is an illusion!

It is only in surrendering

our heart, our soul, and all that we are

to the Lord that we ever know

what it truly is to be free!

BE, THOU, LIKE THE CHILD

 

OH, those meddlesome weeds,

she said.

But to the child

all was beauty!

As the breeze

blew through my soul

I picked a yellow dandelion

and smiled!

Thank You Father!

To an impatient gardener

a slowly blooming seed

is a frustration!

But the Master Gardener

stays very near

and nourishes with food,

encouragement,

and love

and He is filled with joy

when the blossom comes to life!
