Tiny feet
Scampering about,
Carry a wee one
Full of promise!
From such as this
Once was born
A Savior!

When I was a child I never hesitated to run to my Daddy when I needed him, whether I had skinned my knee, was scared by a bug,you name it. I never stopped to wonder if I was a good enough girl, was my problem big enough … I knew his love was more than big enough no matter what I did or didn’t do. GOD WANTS US TO RUN INTO HIS ARMS THAT SAME WAY!
Sunshine or cloudy
you are always here with me
brightening my day!

Lord, you offer us
a foretaste of heaven
as we stumble through this world.
Let us taste its sweetness today
as we walk
side by side with you.

Strolling alone
on a shady and unpaved road
is VERY hard on these weak legs,
still,
I always liked to walk with Him.
Wish He was here now.
Just Him here would bring rest
to my weary heart.
Wish I could do all I used to do . . .
but my soul is young though my body not so much.
Maybe HE could still . . .
I stood a moment,
gathered my thoughts,
and felt His hand squeeze mine!
In my distraction,
I didn’t notice He was there all along waiting and loving me!

So easy to set aside worries in daylight, but those pests do torment at night. I’ve taken to prayer in their midst, but when they shout too loud I seek Christian broadcasting, and rest in it, and the Lord has led me each night this week to the perfect verse to touch my heart and soul and assure me “I AM” Here’s last night’s – a favorite!
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare[a] and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jer 29:11
If we know the truth of the following words and that they apply to each of us created in His image, AS WE ARE, why must the hate continue to defeat love? Where is peace?
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.[a]
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well. -Psalm 139:14
The clouds lingered long.
Will the light never return?
The dampness of my tears,
The ache in my limbs,
The longing for something more . . .
All forgotten in an instant
As my gaze found the sun!

If the rose
Knew only its thorns
Would it still be sweet?

Words and Image
For lots of reasons, I find myself reading most books these days by ereader, yet still I adore old books and stores which feature them! I love the sight, smell and feel of them, but there is something more! I hear the voices of each soul who held, read, and loved the book before me. Old books, old friends!
The tattered pages
Speak of those who’ve gone before
Can you hear the whispers?

Little flower,
petals swaying in the breeze,
bows her head
as rain comes.
Then she looks to the sun
in joyful thanks!
