A snippet you say?
UTTER FOLLY say I!
“One of insignificance!”
NEVER was such created
in His kingdom
on either side of the veil!

We begin life finely knit together,
One to another,
No labels,
Many colors,
Plump or delicate,
Uniquely different yet all the same
In likeness to Him.
Sadly,
We mature and our eyes,
Those human orbs,
Deny the truth held in our hearts.

My heartbeat quickened when I heard your voice
Beckoning me to come and see,
And eagerly I stepped out into the night.
The cool air refreshed me
And though I walked hesitantly at first,
I soon hurried on in hopeful anticipation.
We were making progress,
You said.
I, my human sight far weaker
Than your vision for me,
Saw only that home and familiarity
Were no longer in view
And realized the night air had grown cold.
I held my breath,
Saw the darkness and wondered at the hour.
I lost sight of you,
And felt frozen in place
Without a plan,
With legs suddenly as marble,
Stiff and immobile
I wondered what to do,
My eyes tightly shut.
I cried out
And heard your voice,
As though you were standing
Right in front of me
“I’m here” you said, reassuring me.
I opened my eyes and saw you
Standing so close
Your presence warmed me
In body and in soul.
You reached out,
I placed my hand in yours.
“Look!” you said
And I saw more stars than I could count
Studding the night sky.
“I placed each one of them there for you”
You told me.
At that moment, I knew your love
As I had never known it before
And hope swelled within me
Until happy tears fell
And we walked on together.
“It is well” you assured me,
But I already knew.

You speak without words
Yet your message is so clear
And I ride the flame

My body may be broken,
But my heart and soul
Are still dancing.
I am my heart and soul!
This I share with the universe . . .

There are really none like my late friend Betty, pictured here on the right with her Mom on the left. Her heart? Prime example! THE MOUSE! If I met one in my house we are sure to find I freaked out and left town until it met its demise! Not Betty! She found one in the attic, thought it was SOOOOO cute, and fixed up a hamster cage for it. It became family!
With a loving heart like that, can you imagine what a blessing she was to humans?
18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
A broken dish
having fallen to its demise
was never to hold treasure again.
Not so,
the pieces of my broken heart,
held in His hands
mended
healed
expanded
returned to me
with His grace.

Who is my neighbor?
She is the universe . . . ‘My quest, my duty?
To love her,
To protect her,
To encourage her,
To bless her Creator!
