TIME TO GROW – TIME TO RIPEN

WHISPERS SPEAK LOUDER

You walk beside me

and hold my hand.

I STUMBLE AND FRET

WONDERING . . .

“WHERE ARE YOU?”

I pray,

knowing you love me.

My fear shouts.

Despite the heat,

I shiver . . .

I feel alone.

The voices of my loneliness

are so loud that panic sets in.

I jump!

“What WAS that?”

and see the bird.

They are so beautiful that I stop  . . .

softly,

sweetly,

the birds upstage my fear

and I know your presence.

Foolishly,

I forgot your promises,

your love.

I knelt beneath the tree

and wept.

I called, needing your nearness

and realized you were always there.

Your love lifted me up

AS ALWAYS.

God created us in His image yet each different in his and her own way.   But we’re forever at war with one another over the discord we see and hear. Some call it a storm

but I call it joy
