I awakened to a quiet house.

It was very early

and the only noise was

the soft sound of my dog asleep nearby.

Sensing my gaze,

she stumbled out of bed and followed me.

I sit sipping my first cup of coffee

and breathe in the peaceful soft sounds of the new day.

I don’t know what the day brings

but I know who brought it.

That is sufficient.

NOPE! Sure was NOT Me!

I have a friend who wakes up all aglow and usually singing.  My late Mom often woke up singing church hymns.  Me?  Clear the way!  I need my coffee, shower, and quiet-time!  Yes,  I sometimes awaken in song, but not too often.  Not today.

How we feel does not need to rule the day.  Hope is within us

.  Pray with me . . .

Lord,

I give my all to you and

ask that you enable me

to reflect your joy and hope

on this day and always. Amen

In you, Lord my God,

    I put my trust.

Day three . . . will the rain EVER stop?

My mood was falling like the steady drops of rain

So I stepped outside.

I looked up at the clouds

Intending to share

a piece of my mind!

Instead,

The cooling, cleansing drops had their way

And I laughed

Then pounced in the nearest puddle!

I was young again!
