ABC Award – Learning The Alphabet Again!

February 23, 2012

The ABC Award also known as the Awesome Blog Content Award was presented to my by Caddo Veil – thank you dear sister for this delightful challenge.  I admit, at first the notion of following the  rules by providing you all with a list of 26 tidbits about myself and in alphabetical order seemed wild.  I wasn’t sure I had 26 secrets left, much less one for each letter, but once I got going I loved this challenge and took it a step further and challenged myself to come up with 26 statements or words related to my personal walk with Christ as that is the most important thing in my life – my relationship with Him.

The second part of the challenge is to find folks to nominate.  I can think of countless folks who have awesome blog content but am still working on finding ones who either have not already received this honor or who would enjoy the challenge of a nomination.  Help me out, friends.  If you are drawn to the  challenge, pop me  a comment and let me know.  I’ll be editing this post to add the links to all of my nominees, but meanwhile here is a list of not so secrets related to my heart for Him.

My 7 x 7 Link Award Acceptance and Nominees!

February 10, 2012

Thank you to Anne  –  for this nomination and the challenges in accepting it!  I love a challenge and as a Christian writer, this is a good thing!   Jesus never said following Him would be easy but He promises to be with us all the way!  How awesome is He?

Now, the requirements:  First I must fit 7 of my blog posts into the following categories.

Next I must select 7 blogs to nominate for this lovely award and challenge.

I will now pause to notify them of their nomination so that they can come get a copy of the award badge and begin the acceptance tasks!

Finally, I must reveal a secret to you all.  Hmmm . . .  this is hard.  Before starting my blog I had lots of them, but since I now write them and confess them to you all here in my blog, this is tricky.  Hmmm . . . will it count if my big reveal is that I live in SC yet detest sweet tea?  It’s true y’all.  Oh, but if it’s any consolation, I do like shrimp and grits!

King of Kings Award – Twice Blessed!

February 1, 2012

There can be no greater blessing than to be the child of the King of Kings and to have the honor of being part of His body in this world.  I’m just so thrilled to share my love of Him and His love for us with all of you.  That being said, to have been nominated by now two special ladies for this award just fills me with joy and I’m so happy to share this award with all of you.  My first nomination was from Anne, and now the second blessing is from Rev Deirdre Whitfield,  Thank you so much, dear sisters for the honor.

King of Kings Friendship Award

This award is all about the blessing and comes with no list of “musts” to work at, but it is my pleasure to share it with the following who are but a sampling of the many blogs I continue to discover and find reflect the love of Christ to me in so many ways.  Again, you may accept this as the blessing it’s meant to be, display the badge on your blog if you so choose, and pass the blessing on as you see fit.  Thanks for sharing your heart with all of us!

Reader Appreciation Award – Blessings Flow!

January 26, 2012

What a true blessing awards are!  They are at once a source of His blessings, the encouragement of our sisters and brothers in Christ, and an opportunity besides.  The opportunity and challenge is to go deeper in our own walk with Him, to meet others along the way, and oh the many beautiful folks I’m met who are fellow bloggers through the award nominations I’ve been honored with!  This is very much like the commission given to us by our Lord as His body in this world.  We receive His grace and blessings and are challenged with opportunities to serve as well!

I’m happy to have just received a nomination for a Reader Appreciation Award from my dear sister Caddy I encourage you to read her blog which I am sure you will enjoy.  It’s a delightful mix of many kinds of treats!

The creator of this award recommends awarding it to six bloggers who have never received it before and as well requests linking the badge back to the one who nominated you.  I find it difficult to limit myself to merely six of  you!

So, along with my absolute recommendation that you visit Caddo’s blog, I nominate the folloowing:
