“ALL of my senses listen, see, and appreciate the love of God in His amazing gifts such as these and so many more!! ” –Martha Shaw
“There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story” – Linda Hogan –

When I was a wee one
I always wanted to visit Nana
and bring her flowers.
Seemed to me she never got any.
As I saw things,
she was always alone, too.
I picked beautiful dandylions for her
and she put them in a water glass on her dining table!
I didn’t know it was a water glass
nor did I know the “flowers” were just weeds.
Nana must not have known what they were either
because she kissed me
and said they were beautiful
just like ME!

When The Storm Passes . . .
The threat of a storm lasted long, but now that the storm is over it seems as though it was quite brief. How often do we find this to be true? After it has gone, the beauty in its wake seems brighter than ever before . . .
Here are some photographs taken after other storms have gone. It seems there is a message in their beauty.
29 He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea[a] were hushed. – Psalm 107:29

Clouds over my head
Gentle wisps of change

It began . . .
An ordinary day.
I heard the sounds of peace and passion.
A duet that at once caught my breath
while also wrapping me in streams of gold.
My heart . ..my soul
Were fed as never before.
Should I dance or cry or laugh
In a banquet
Of all three
Music so sweet and gentle
Then suddenly it grew in magnitude
And repainted the landscape.
Wrapped in a bow.
