FROM CHANGE COME UNEXPECTED BLESSINGS

January 7, 2019

How blue is the sky

and how bright the sun!

Winter’s warm smile

brings unexpected joy

on this mid-season day!

Tomorrow’s cold air

won’t be so biting

after this early taste of Spring!

I complain?  NOT!

For the four seasons bless me;

each in a new and unique way.

I bask in the opportunities

each one brings!

Contrary

February 9, 2017

I am one who does not run from a challenge but . . .

CRITICIZE?

NO!  Dear readers, I intend, or HOPE, instead to encourage and bless!  My sometimes failure to do so reveals the truth that God is not finished with me yet!

Grace and Destruction

August 12, 2014

There is a stirring within me.

Like a tornado,

There is destruction in its path.

Ah, but the wreckage

Cannot be seen

Nor is it likely to be missed.

How can this be?

The mistakes of yesterday,

And misleading voices of today

Are in its course!

The still small voice

In all its gentle strength?

It will live on

And waits for me

To turn my gaze,

To incline my ear,

And to listen not to the wind

But to the voice of love.

I'm putting in a praise report tonight because I just had to tell someone the news! The last few weeks, since the end of June really, I've been going back and forth to the doctor for tests. I've had symptoms that were indicative of tumors in one area of my body and possible breast cancer. My mother is a victorious survivor of cancer (twice over!) and so the doctor was very concerned by what my mammogram showed. He saw multiple masses in both brea … Read More
