Blog of the Year 2012

December 27, 2012

My most grateful thanks to Wendell A Brown for awarding me this Blog of the Year 2012 honor and blessing!  Coming from such an amazing poet and lover of Jesus makes this extra special to me.  If you have not had an opportunity to read his verse, I strongly encourage you to do so.  My apologies to him for a delay in making this post, but it’s been a bit busy in my world and quite honestly, I am still not completely finished coming up with my list of nominees, so this post will be edited to reflect more links for you to visit and be blessed by.  The nominees I post are not in any particular order of preference.

Here are some of my nominees:

There will be more!  Again, my heartfelt thanks to my brother in Christ Weldell A Brown for this honor!

April 1, 2012

Wow, life’s been busy lately.  God has made it so and I love it and Him.  That being said, I’m tardy in responding and expressing appreciation for two recent award nominations.  So sorry.  Must say though, if you are like me and have some big unresolved needs which threaten to weigh you down then I urge you to slow down and breath and allow yourself to see the blessings which are piling up right next to the problems.  I bet if you  do this you will be surprised at how big THAT pile is.  It is a reminder of our Lord’s loving and powerful hand at work and our ASSURANCE that all will be well.

So, speaking of blessings, I was recently awarded a Kreativ Blogger Award by AND awarded the Sunshine Award by  I highly recommend that you read these two blogs if you’ve not discovered them yet.  They will bless you just as they bless me.

As soon as I am able I will remind myself of the task list which may accompany these two awards, but I didn’t want to let another moment pass before a public thank you for the two blessings.

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

March 16, 2012

I am honored, blessed, and humbly accept the “Very Inspireing Blogger Award.  Wow, what a delightful surprise!

Rules for this award:

1.Thank the person who nominated you.

2. Share 7 things about yourself

3. Pass the award to 7 nominees

1. A very tardy thank you to for awarding this to me.   My trees are blooming, the flowers and grass are growing too.  Oh, my though, the pollen is HIGH.  Sadly, this has caused me to fall behind on some things.  Achooo . . . excuse me.

Please be sure to visit my dear sister in Christ whose poetry is as  beautiful as her heard for Jesus.  You will not be disappointed.

2. Time to share 7 things about myself with all of you.  Hmmm. . . .  here goes!

a.   It is hard to come up with something you may not already know since I try to live by the Holy Spirit and thus share as I feel led – this being said I have few secrets left.  Now, you know why.

b.  I love to grocery shop.  Yes, it’s true but please don’t worry about me.  I assure you I am quite sane as a rule.  Thing is, I always meet such kind-hearted and lovely people there and at each trip, find myself being witnessed to by one of His flock, or being led to witness myself to another.  When Jesus so closely accompanies me to a grocery store, how can I help but love it?

c.  I am a poet and am currently writing a book proposal for a publisher.

d.  I have always wished I was small and cute, but am in fact tall and wear a ladies size 11 shoe.  Sigh.  Nice things come in all different sized packages, though.  I promise.

e.  I had a can named Tinkerbell when I was young and he was the nastiest creature.  Keep this in mind when you name your pets.  I believe there is a distinct connection between his name and his reaction to it and believe that his personality speaks of his “revolt” against the choice in name.

f.  I love plants but am dreadful at remembering to water them.

g.  My last house has a sun porch with 12 large windows and so I hung fake plants up high so nobody could tell, and rotated them about so they appeared to be growing.  With the blinds partly closed, nobody could tell!

Ah, the fun part!  My nominees are:
