HOPE CAN BE FOUND

Even Among Weeds and Thorns

Digital Camera

When the garden is filled with weeds

Yet one stubborn flower

Finds the strength to grow,

Am I to frown

Because it is the only one?

Is it not a very welcomed blessing?

Surely its beauty

Nourishes my hungry soul

Giving me the strength

To tackle the overgrowth

Of opposition

Not unlike the single

Blooming rose

Basking in the midst

Of thorns;

Hope

Of a coming new season!

Welcome – A Tanka For the New Season

April 4, 2013

Natural Beauty

Resting in the rain

And washed in His endless love

soothes body and soul.

Restored, renewed, and prepared

For the coming season’s change.

Quote of the Day – Seeds

January 28, 2013

I sit here seeing only ruin around me and being unable to climb out of its vastness and praying somehow His purpose in it will come to fruition.   I realize I may not see His purpose but there is peace to be found in knowing He uses all things.  As I did a bit of reading just now, this quote came to me:

All the flowers of tomorrow are the seeds of today.

– Anonymous –

It seems in life there are times when we, or I, are called to be the compost nourishing the seeds from which tomorrow’s flowers grow.  These times can be uncomfortable and even painful, but if it blesses the Lord, it is good.

A new season is coming and the flowers will bloom!

The pieces will all come together.  He will see to it.

I Am A Christmas Cactus . . .

October 15, 2012

Are you?

All was bright in life for a time, fragrant, and fresh.  Oh, how lovely it was to have those who gazed in my direction say “ahhhhh!”  Then, things in life began to droop.  My petals  . . .  where have they gone?  At least my leaves are still . . . oh, no!  Not my leaves as well?

How odd!   Wow, it’s dark . . . day and night are all the same.  What is to become of me?  Hmmm . . . A new season is coming, someone said . . . I wonder . . .

Hey, something within me is feeling different, new!  Maybe it IS a new season approaching . . . it is said that a period of darkness leads to a time when I will bloom anew!  It simply takes the Master Gardener’s touch . . .
