REPENT AND LIVE!

You snorted,

“I have something special for you.” she said with a smile.

Your face betrayed you

and you walked away

from the gift she held behind her back.

She never changges, you thought.

Her tears spoke more than you’ll ever know.

It is YOU who must change.

Jesus cried too.

She knows His love

and her heart began to heal.

OH, MY SOUL!

WE CAN ALWAYS GIVE GOD PRAISE!

It is too easy for us to find reasons to face faults in our world but this only makes things worse.  Our Lord is close to us always and despite our fears and confusion, He’s got this!  Trust and give praise and your heart will be renewed,  and faith will replace fear!

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.  Philippians 4:8 ESV

THANKS FOR NOTHING!????!

Come on, y’all – you have shaken your head and thought

“what gives, Lord!” Just like all of us!  Well, He gives!

 

Ephesians 5:19-20

speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

This quote is one I cannot read often enough.  It’s so easy to be thankful when things in my life are just as I wish them to be, but when my plans don’t work out, or my prayers aren’t answered in the way I wish they’d been, I don’t always think to say “praise the Lord anyway” and I KNOW I should.  The quote both reminds and convicts me because God’s plan is always best and when He blesses me by not giving me what I want, what I receive ultimately turns out to be more than I can ever desire or pray for, just as the Bible repeatedly tells us.  So, join me in saying “thanks” even when the answer is “no.”  Thank you Lord for always knowing what’s best for me and for your patience!

A JOYFUL SERVANT

Sometimes . . .

You have to listen really closely

To hear the music in the silence.

But, once you hear it,

Your heart will never forget its voice.

NOT JUST AN ORDINARY DAY!

It Began Like Every Other Day . . . But Then

A simple peasant girl

Answered yes

To a question

Which surely shocked her

And the world was changed

Forever.
