Soul Kisses From My Savior
You introduced me to my heart
The day that I accepted yours.
I know now that true and lasting joy
Was never before mine
Until that day I looked into your eyes
And found my very soul
Was looking back at me
In the pure love and grace
I saw reflected there.
You touched my hand
And led me to the place
That I’d been seeking all my life
Without ever knowing what I’d missed.
Suddenly, this secret of our love
Is one that I can no longer keep
To myself
And so I freely share it
Every chance I get.
A most amazing consequence
Is now so clear to me.
For every time I blow a kiss
You blow back two of yours!

There are really none like my late friend Betty, pictured here on the right with her Mom on the left. Her heart? Prime example! THE MOUSE! If I met one in my house we are sure to find I freaked out and left town until it met its demise! Not Betty! She found one in the attic, thought it was SOOOOO cute, and fixed up a hamster cage for it. It became family!
With a loving heart like that, can you imagine what a blessing she was to humans?
Leviticus 19:18
18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Standing by the door
I thought of stern faces from yesteryear
and almost walked away.
Suddenly,
a pleasant sound was heard!
Opening the new door,
rows and rows of faithful,
happy,
joyful,
playful,
loving,
welcoming faces met my gaze!
A sudden glowing hush,
a procession lining up,
the organ sounded!
I knew I was home!

Here is a quick and so simple way to bless your family and friends!
- after school treat
- with coffee after a meal
- bless the new neighbor
- bring to the office
- church coffee fellowship
- just because
Nutella Cookies – 3 Ingredients!

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup Nutella
1 Egg
Preheat oven to 350. Makes 24 cookies on ungreased baking sheet.
Combine 3 ingredients to form dough. It will be a dry and dense dough. I recommend using your hand (keep one clean, silly. You know the phone will ring.) This will go quicker with mixing it by hand IMPO.
Place one inch balls on cookie sheet and press/flatten a bit with a glass.
Bake for about 8 minutes.
There are different variations out in cyber space. Some call for adding 1/2 cup of sugar. I prefer them without. If you have a really really “bad” sweet tooth, go on and add the sugar. I do not believe they need it. Yummy!

Tomorrow is Sunday, my favorite day of the week. I will break bread together with my church family. Bread is spoken of often in the Bible. In the NIV alone the word appears 255 times. I was nearly out of bread and so just baked a loaf for my home. The look and smell alone tells me why bread is so spiritually significant. Break bread with me, won’t you?

It had been a long week full of disappointment. I ran a few errands and was nodded at a number of times. I was assured my business was important to a few. I somehow felt alone in the various noisy crowded places. Then it was time for church and I was reminded of the love surrounding me always 🙂

I learned of the five sentence story idea from Caddo Veil who in turn learned of it from Linda of purpleborough I had to try it. Check their blogs and join in the fun, won’t you?

Your thoughts, words and deeds are painting the world around you. – Jewel Diamond Taylor –
I’m not overly political, I must admit and I’m taking no side in this post but this quote gave me pause for thought. It seems I can’t pick up a paper, click on a website, or listen to television or radio without angry thoughts becoming angry words and deeds.
It is always somebody’s fault . . . or somebody else’s . . . does it matter in the end who the blame ultimately belongs to? We are changing the world around us with fighting in the White House and fighting in the churches and fighting in the grocery store parking lot and the classrooms where our children learn . . .
Where’s it getting us? What did our forefathers fight for?
What color is peace?

A tiny drop of water
Swallowed up in a mighty ocean,
Lost in the vastness . . .
Visible or invisible?
Powerful?
Weak?
Then the tide began to turn.
As the sun shined brightly,
The push was on!
Slow yet steady at first,
Then faster and faster,
Higher and higher,
Momentum growing!
As the wave grew to seemingly impossible heights
Suddenly droplets gleamed
Like countless tiny diamonds
then came to rest in the sand
With a splendid sparkling crash!
Alone,
Just a simple drop.
Ah, but joined together,
As a body of water . . .
AMAZING!

Troubling times are NOT for us to run away alone and in fear but for us to pull together as a loving community. Now more than ever we need to focus on the basic simple truth and not labels, judging, and distractions. We are human BEINGS and need to remember that the DOING is directed by our amazing Lord Jesus Christ. It really and truly does come down to that. We are called to do amazing things IN and THROUGH Him. This has NOT changed.
