HEAR THE MUSIC?

November 8, 2017

My body may be broken,

But my heart and soul

Are still dancing.

I am my heart and soul!

This I share with the universe . . .

Just Dance!

June 15, 2017

just dance

I saw the others in the room

dancing to a tune I could not hear.

I stood aside,

I watched and sighed.

Wishing,

Wondering,

They seemed to share a joy

I didn’t know.

They seemed to know a love

I didn’t feel.

I waited in lonely silence.

Then, I could wait no more.

With awkward steps

I left my hiding place

And followed.

At first my steps

Were slow and few

But then it happened!

I began to hear the music, too!

The more I danced,

The less I considered my shaky feet

For I had found something else.

I discovered joy!

I didn’t like the music

Until I began to dance

And that made all the difference.

Relinquishment

February 1, 2014

 cloudburst

Clouds, pregnant with rain,

Gave birth to an unexpected freshness

In my soul.

All that remains of yesterday

is a few small puddles

While I, surprised, have found

A strength which was not my own

Is raising me up from my arid place

And leading in a new dance!
