I SEE THE LIGHT!
February 9, 2019Some say “oh,the light is so dim!”
Others, though, say “Ah! Look at the Light!”
The darkness could not overcome it!

LOOK TO THE LIGHT!
May 17, 2018The sun still shines
on dark rainy days.
You can see it reflected
in EVERY puddle!

FLICKERING HOPE
March 9, 2017
Darkness weighs upon my soul.
Too heavy for me to discard,
I ponder . . .
Is that light I see
Or just an illusion?
Walking slowly toward the Light,
I am brushed by gentle wings of love.
My burden seems to have been lifted from me
By unseen hands.
Unseen, but not unknown . . .

ATTITUDE- Your Choice!

but I was distracted by the stars!

NAME IT – CLAIM IT – PROCLAIM IT
August 30, 2016My Birthright
I live in hope of the Light,
Therefore, it is mine.
The illusion of darkness
Is no more!

THE SECOND VERSE
July 26, 2016Oh darkness,
you cannot hide
my seemingly elusive joy.
For,
in my heart exists the Lamp
to guide me to it
So I will sing on!

He Will Guard The Feet Of His Faithful

Be gone
You taunting shadow of darkness!
Do you not know?
Your very existence
Bears testimony to
The presence of Light!

Prefer Darkness?
July 8, 2013The sun is streaming in my window
and I cannot help but smile
as my world is drenched in gold-leaf splendor!
How can one who knows the Light
ever choose instead the darkness?
Perhaps,
they simply have never looked up!
Who will show them?
How about me!

When The Light Grew Dim
December 17, 2012As I started along the path with you
the light was so bright
and there was a gentle breeze
whisking me along the path
at a gentle skip.
Night came
and the air chilled.
The way grew dark and I couldn’t see you near me,
but I knew you were there still.
As the darkness lingered,
I was less certain . . .
I couldn’t feel your hand in mine
and the sound of your breathing
was lost to the night sounds
from wildlife lurking near.
I thought my heart would stop for sure,
but then the moon began to glow brightly
with the promise of rest
to strengthen me for
a new day.
