Must one fear change?
The alternative is rather tasteless,
I shall choose the mystery
and find it divine.
Having said this,
I am realizing that with Favor
comes stronger opposition . . .
Favor’s nemesis?
My own nemesis?
No matter,
for my own weakness can overcome nothing,
but my strength is His
and the unseen battle
is already won.
My wounds,
felt or still to come
will heal
and I will find
my heart and soul
rejoicing.

God chose a young peasant girl to give birth to His son. I am aware of all the monuments with Mary in a crown and I mean no disrespect to the lady who is the mother of my Jesus, but it fills me with hope to know that He chose a peasant girl! It continued in Jesus’ ministry when we see whom He chose! Sing to Him with me!
In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”” Luke 1:26-28
We are a world of performers. We have a need to excel, to “one up” everyone else, to drive harder, and longer, to strive higher. What does it get us? Not much, if you think about it. Afterall, if it got us whatever it is we seek, wouldn’t we let up now and then? But we don’t.
Text, email, phone buzzes, “Taxi!” and late again. Overtime becomes the norm . . . rest? That’s for others, those lazy underachievers. Ever stop and look at those who rest, who “drive” more slowly than we do? Look closely. They’ve got something we don’t. They radiate something. What is it? How much harder must we work to get it? Yet, they’re laid back . . .
]8 God blessed them and said to them,“Be fruitful and increase in number;fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
