The sun still shines
on dark rainy days.
You can see it reflected
in EVERY puddle!

“There’s nothing I can do . . . “
Counting out cups of flour.
“How can I fix this mess I’m in . . . “
Measuring the salt,
Adding sugar.
“I’ve got nothing left . . . “
Sprinkling the yeast.
“It’s hopeless . . . “
Pounding the dough.
“I’m tired of feeling so . . . “
Noticing the scent filling the room.
“When will I ever . . . “
Absently placing the luscious loaves
On the counter.
“Hmmm . . .
Maybe a small slice . . .”
A little bit of butter . . .
“Here, have one. I made extra.”
Smiles.
Bread for today
He has plans for tomorrow . . .
“now, where was I?”
Off track
but now thankful!

My mind can only know so much.
It is only when my soul is fed
that my life is forever changed.

Grocery shopping can be vexing.
In order to obtain what we need, to meet health restructions, etc., we must read every label, hope for full and clear disclosure, yet still discover we have not seen enough to judge.
WHY then, knowing only God can know a human heart, do we persist in placing a label on one another?

Rain drops gently fall
It is neither late nor light
Their music feeds me

Try breaking CAKE together on your knees!
Okay, do you swoon over the aroma of freshly . . . cake? Not me! Getting a little light headed right now because there is a loaf in my oven!
Ever sit around the camp fire singing “I am the cake of life? Leavened or not, I am a happy girl!
Oops! Time to kneed my dough!
Perhaps it’s just me but I tend to associate the word craving with food. This could explain my hips . . . but I was thinking there are many things I yearn for or desire. Here are the ones that popped into my head. Laughing is okay! Feel free!
Oh, dear! I blew it with the last one, but it’s time for my lunch! Lol
