Whether you stand in the shade,
Or in the sun,
Is not the tree still beautiful?

Hmmm . . . at first I wasn’t sure I entirely agreed with this quote, but our dear Lord has given us EVERYTHING and we therefore lack nothing. Let us rejoice!
It happens, even though we do not like to admit it. Sometimes even in a crowd we can feel alone and disconnected. But, in reality as members of the body of Christ, we are in a very full household and as we work at the commission He has given us, the family keeps growing! This is a wonderful thing. There have been times I’ve felt in need of a hug from a brother or sister and when it seemed nobody was around. I posted something here and suddenly my family, though scattered throughout the world, were here making me laugh, smile, praise, sing, dance, and feel their love. How awesome!
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household,” Ephesians 2:19 NIV
My life always seemed okay. I went about doing my thing. I didn’t see a need for making changes but there came a day when I met someone who made me question . . .
Suddenly, it seemed my life as I’d always known it lacked color. I hadn’t noticed it before.
I knew this man “knew something” I was missing out on . . .
This man had something I didn’t . . .
I began to pray for “some of that” in my own life . . .
He knew Jesus . . .
It was confusing at first, for I’d known about Him all my life . . .
The man I met and heard preach had something more . . .
I prayed some more and when I ran out of words, I heard His voice . . .
Knowing about someone is not the same as knowing Him . . .
The Lord wants to be close and personal with us . . . with me . . .
So I invited Him, and He was there waiting . . .
I saw His smile and tears in His eyes, just like the man who preached that day . . .
He had been waiting to get close to me since before my birth . . .
Suddenly, my life changed!
It had color where there had only been black and white . . .
It had new direction, patterns, where there’d been just flat land . . .
It still has challenges yet now He’s holding my hand . . . carrying me!
Good morning friends! I am recovering from the latest of many procedures to save and restore my weak eyesight, so prayers are appreciated and please do not feel unloved at my less frequent sharing with you. Here’s a quote which touched my heart. I hope it touches yours as well. Remember, we are one in Him! Blessings!
We are the leaves of one branch, the drops of one sea, the flowers of one garden.
Jean Baptiste Henry Lacordaire
When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.

Luther Burbank: “Flowers always make people better,
happier, and more helpful: they are sunshine, food and medicine to the soul.”
I like this quote because it states something I have come to believe but in a different way.
I believe that
God created flowers
solely for the purpose of making us smile, feel warm,
and know that we are loved.
They represent God’s kisses to me.
