Branch Out!

If a tree were to resist

shedding her colorful autumn leaves,

when would come spring?

When would come summer?

If we resist change

we cannot question why

we do not grow.

WE ARE FAMILY!

Scrappy and I had lunch in our screened porch amid birds singing, a gentle breeze, blue skies viewed between leaf filled branches and the wonderful sound I love to hear – the sound of a saw cuttng wood! The sound and smell is life giving to me and perfume to my soul! Daddy was so skilled at EVERYTHING since if he didn’t know, he self-taught and worked with perfection. Sadly the last 15 years of his life were spent sedentary due to Parkinsons. Lord, heal me and or show me the way to shine and to make my parents proud for the 3 of us!  We love you and hunger to serve with the treasure you bestowed!

 

FROM CHANGE COME UNEXPECTED BLESSINGS

How blue is the sky

and how bright the sun!

Winter’s warm smile

brings unexpected joy

on this mid-season day!

Tomorrow’s cold air

won’t be so biting

after this early taste of Spring!

I complain?  NOT!

For the four seasons bless me;

each in a new and unique way.

I bask in the opportunities

each one brings!

I get stressed, especially when I multitask and demand too much from myself!  The Lord doesn’t give us more than we can handle – we do!

• Take a praise break!   Can’t thiink of anything good about your day?
• relax your muscles
• breath deeply
• close your eyes
• say “Lord, thanks for loving me!”
• repeat until chest tightness relaxes
• REJOICE!

No matter where we are HE IS!

Not a day nor night went by while in hospital and rehab without the Lord sending someone or several to share His love with, share testimony with, and more. It was ALL HIM! For the willing servant, blessings flow to and through us!

Surrender, listen, follow!

 

 

Wasted Talent

We have all been created with uniqueness and talent and gifts from God.  Some say “I have no talent” but perhaps they seek to be a famous painter when God wished them to sing?  To be a great paino player when God blessed them with talent to tend a garden and bring beauty and good food into being?  Think about it.

It takes no more effort to be positive and express joy then it does to be negative and complain . . . it is no different from looking to the left or to the right and yet . . . it makes ALL the difference!
