the sky lit up with the peace and joy that only the Light of the world can give!

They all accepted Jesus in their hearts!

Forever after, life was truly changed!

SILENT AND BREATHLESS!

The service was coming to a close…

all was dark and silent;

but for the glow of a single candle,

much like the star on that special night.

Darkness soon changed to a joyous glow

as we all shared in the light!

Each hand held a lit candle

and each heart held the best gift of all . ..

an invitation to eternal life!

THE MORNING AFTER . . . Reflecting on the Flame

 

Here I sit at my desk looking at images of yesterday’s Pentecost splendor as the tongues of fire touched all in attendance just as they did that first time. 

How did His disciples feel on this day?  Did they feel as I do? Did they feel almost slain by the lingering heat from the flame of yesterday?  Surely their countenance would never be what it once was as the Light shining through them was something never known before and which they’d risk EVERYTHING to share . . . and here I sit, in my brokenness desiring to do the same and confident that He will guide me all the way.

³ They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated

and came to rest on each of them.

We tend to turn this muchblessed Christmas time into a frantic time of worry, regret, grief,and over spending!  Please relax and be blessed!  HOW?

Out Of The Darkness

An eye is not an eye at all

Without a healthy heart

To direct its focus.

For alone,

it is simply an orb

Ah,

But when the heart opens the door

To Light,

Darkness departs

forever gone from memory,

And God’s love all the eye can see!

Trust In Him

I look out my window

Yet see nothing.

Darkness has consumed . . .

but, wait!

Have things really changed?

Is the grass no longer green?

. . . the trees no longer tall?

Will the sun I cannot see

Truly never shine again?

My soul,

Though wrestling fear’s attempt to overtake

Is opting instead for some needed rest.

Day has gone

And night indeed has fallen.

Morning’s sun will

Like my spirit rise

And I restored,

Once again will follow

and reflect the Light!

Darkess Or Light – A Quote

Our trust in the Lord changes things, changes us, changes our perspective on darkness versus light.  When we open the door in our hearts and let Him in, we follow the unknown path but with His hand in ours.  Thus the darkness has a new light.  It has been forever changed, as have we.
