Perspective

A wee one picked a pretty flower

and gave it to her Mom.

Everyone around her smiled with joy.

She grew older and was taught

a dandelion was “just a weed”

but did the flower really change

when the eyes of her heart

were closed?

She grew up

and made them into

such delicious wine!

How eye opening!

Beauty in a storm

when I do not look in fear

sun peeks through the clouds

Glistening raindrops

Quenching the thirsty dry land.

Grace and hope are mine!

Tears of Joy

May 6, 2017

I sit at the water’s edge

hearing the music of the droplets

tumbling over the rocks at the shore . . .

sounds of strength and hope.

CHOOSE JOY! – IT’S CONTAGEOUS!

January 6, 2017

When I was a child, I loved laying in the grass looking up at the sky . . . I thought of who else, in some distant place, might be sharing it with me.  Birds flew about tweeting and I wondered what they said..  When clouds came in, I thought not of storms but of the interesting shapes . . . “that one looks like a bear!”  Even when it rained, I loved watching the droplets bounce off surfaces looking like tiny mirrors reflecting a world that fascinated me.

There’s a painting on my wall,

my life with all its flws.

Yet when I viewed it in the frame,

its beauty made me pause.

Raindrops still falling

Suddenly gray skies brighten

And the puddles dance
