God’s Fuzzy Little Helper . . .

Could it truly be an accident

that God spelled backward

becomes dog?

Though animals are frequent in the Bible,

I do not recall my Scrappy . . . or your Sadie.

But,

though God’s love is not questioned,

the sweet faced,

soft eared,

warm tongued critter

and her unquestionable love and kisses

have nursed many a heartbrake.

OPEN YOUR EYES AND HEART

Some days just make me feel like the whole world has written me off!  I know y’all understand whether you can  admit it or not.  DO NOT GIVE IN!  OPEN THE EYES OF YOUR HEART!

My baby understands about needing luvin better than humans do.  This morning as I sipped coffee, she woke up in a half empty bed and came looking for me, gave me kisses, and snatched a sip of coffee.  Scrappy then smiled and snuggled up for a nap in Mommy’s lap!

 

Let Everything Praise the Lord

Poor sleep made me grumpy this morning. . . knowing better didn’t help.  Puppy kisses thawed me out some . . . temporarily.

 

Then this quote from Psalm found me and brought with it a definite deterging quality.  “Trouble and anguish have found me out, but your commandments are my delight.” Psalm 119:143 ESV

 

GRUMPY?  Not me!

Psalm 150 Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!^[a]
2 Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!

³ Praise him with trumpet sound;
    praise him with lute and harp!
⁴ Praise him with tambourine and dance;
    praise him with strings and pipe!
⁵ Praise him with sounding cymbals;
    praise him with loud clashing cymbals!

. . .AND HE CALMED THE STORM

HURRICANE FLORENCE

Ah, that moment when all the troubles of the world slip away holding no importance. The storm brewing, the money worries, the health challenges, the what ifs the how will I evers …..mean nothing.

SCRAPPY

To my right snuggled up close and feeling safe is a doggy that calls me mama who is no longer afraid of the storm or the big dog on my left… all she thinks about is that she is safe and  sleeps on with her head snuggled on my right leg. On my left is another dog that calls me auntie, who has also been afraid of my Scrappy until that moment and is snuggled with her head on my lap and sleeping…. And I am feeling safe and peaceful and surrounded by love and fully aware that nothing else in the world matters!

STARDUST

THE SECOND VERSE

Oh darkness,

you cannot hide

my seemingly elusive joy.

For,

in my heart exists the Lamp

to guide me to it

So I will sing on!

MISSIONARY ON FOUR LEGS!

The Bible illustrates much that is vital using sheep but I am not a shepherdess; I take care of Scrappy and she loves and cares for me!  A dog’s life is generally simple if she is a pet.  Not unlike perhaps a sheep but I believe dogs know love . . . and I have learned and felt the Love of the Lord through my pet.  The photo here looks like prayer time to me.  Who can say otherwise?  Our God is Mighty and blesses us through ALL creation . . . love is patient, love is kind . . . and sometmes love has fur!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  1 Corinthians 13:4
