He weaves my dreams

Saturday Quote of the Day!

December 8, 2012

And in the end, the poem is not a thing we see – it is, rather, a light by which we may see – and what we see is life.  – Robert Penn Warren –

Oh, I love this!  I have always seen the world as poetry even before I was a poet, though my love affair with expressing myself this way began before I started first grade.  Whether you are a poet or a lover of poetry, what a blessing it is to see the world through this lens!

Stop Looking For Love . . .

August 20, 2012

Okay, the more I read of the work of Rumi, the more I love his work!  This quote is so very true . . . let’s knock those walls down and live deep without our souls!  A favorite priest of mine often speaks of living deep, and his love of Jesus is clear and Jesus’ love of him and for each one of us is reflected so clearly by  . . . listen to what Rumi says about love.  His words are so filled with hope!

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” Rumi

I can tell you honestly that the more I find brick walls within me and knock them down, the more I learn about the love of my precious Jesus and the more I realize how much I love Him!  Let knock down those barriers, shall we?

Inspiration From Robert Louis Stevenson

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                          – Robert Louis Stevenson –

I have always loved the words of Stevenson.  What most inspires me is that, like Paul’s letters, this is a man who expresses a message of joy and hope while facing challenges . . . painful challenges.  Paul’s imprisonment and beatings received at the hands of his captors and Stevenson’s lifelong health challenges.  Such uplifting, bright, and joy filled words shining from the lips and pen of a man often confined to his bed.

There are many in our midst in this cyber world who face physical, emotional, provisional challenges and more yet in the blog world we don’t see faces, only written words.  Their words touch our hearts, heal us, and encourage us to go on.  They sow His seeds against such adversity.  How blessed we are to be a part of this body!  How we are fed by the harvest!
