For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord.

Okay, if you thought this was an article about a romanic and passionate experience I had to share, you’ve stumbled upon the wrong blog . . .
Passionate it is, though! I’m hearing a line from a favorite praise song in my heart and head just now. I must say it’s delightful when my heart and head are on the same “team.” It’s not always the way. I was not exactly “high on life” earlier today and remarkably – rather than stew for a while and eventually think of praying, I prayed right away and then got involved in doing some things that needed doing. Wish I could say that this Christian is just so focused on the Lord that this is simply a common occurance, but being human brings with it a host of imperfections and yup, I’ve got ’em. Like a broken watch, though, I must say I get it right twice a day anyway . . . at least that . . . I hope . . .
When we surrender ourselves to the Lord and say “use me . . . fill me” we’d better be ready to receive our “honey do” list fast. He hears a willing heart and He says “sign up! Here’s your first job! Go to it!” It’s funny, but shortly after I prayed the words I prayed, I found myself blessed not once but three times! First with a lovely conversation with a stranger, then with finding myself say to someone “you need to let it go. It’s not yours to worry about. Give it to the Lord. He’ll handle it and enable you.” Then I heard myself telling someone else “It just takes a willing heart. God will provide the ability.”
These things took place in under an hour from the time I felt “off” and prayed about it and are all direct answers to that prayer. Just further proof, if any is needed, that He loves us totally and completely and He so desires us to “get close and personal” with Him. . Our Lord does not call the enabled – He enables the called! Thanks be to God!
He keeps you from all evil and preserves your life. He keeps his eye upon you as you come and go and always guards you.
The following quote may be true for some but not for me! Seeing and hearing and feeling the world as a poet is,for me, a HUGE blessing. FELLOW POETS, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

We allow our illusions to crush our hopes. Isn’t it time we reversed the equation? Where does YOUR hope come from- Martha L Shaw 8-7-17 #mondayramble
Acceptance
All too often I find this word to be avoided, to be considered negative, to be considered “here comes trouble!” My response to this truth was “here comes another positive word gone NEGATIVE, what a pity!”
I looked acceptance up in the dictionary and found that a primary defining word was “favor.” WOW!
The following blessing has been bestowed upon me many times, and I quote it from the BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER:
“The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord’s face shine on you with grace and mercy.
The Lord look upon you with favor
and give you peace. AMEN“
My friends, acceptance is a REALLY BIG DEAL and I am sorry to say we as a culture are not very good at it. We need to do better!
Wow, what a day yesterday was! So much going on in my life! How about you? Ever feel like “all at once” and wonder “how am I going to . . . ” fill in the blanks. Some good, some “I can’t fix this” and some “Lord, what’s up with this?”
Know what? He’s in it! It sure is too heavy to carry . . . alone! Hey, I wasn’t meant to do that!!! Jesus wants me to lighten up! Hey, in more ways than one! I only need to carry my part and the heavier part is HIS – so I’m working hard on handing things over. Guess what? The more He and I work closely together, the lighter I feel! Know what else? His radiance reflects on me and through me onto those in darkness!
Isn’t that our purpose? To reflect Him in all we do? The good stuff is easy to smile about. The things in life that are held together with DUCT TAPE? NO problem! We will be just fine – Jesus has it covered! In all things, let your light shine, people!
Lead on, Lord! I’m ready!
This song never fails to stir up that inner longing in me and make me more hungry for Him than ever! Come, sing and praise with me!
“There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why… I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?” – Robert Kennedy
There have been so many times life has brought me “why” situations and admittedly they are often expressed in the tone of a whine. Sometimes, though, the Lord has led me in directions where I have felt surprised and unable and thought “but why?” in a fearful yet “could it really be?” sort of way. When I have moved ahead in faith, I have been enabled and blessed.
Of late there have been a lot of both going on. The former and the latter have both grown MUCH LARGER. Am I being tested in a new season? Am I being blessed in a wonderful way? The impossible challenges sure can be a “never were” and the fear can be staggering, but with faith and trust in Him, no matter how many tell me “you’re crazy!” I don’t have to listen. I can say “and why not?” knowing He’ll be there EVERY TIME.
