We cannot have shadows in the darkness.
So, if you see one on a rainy day,
and you cannot find the sun,
that sunny brightness
MUST be reflected from you!
You are blessed!
Be a blessing to others!

The sky was growing darker
on a once bright cheery day.
The baby,
once bright and cheery,
feared the darkness and wrath
but I held her close to me
loving her so much.
Her face lit up
and quickly brightened.
She gave me a kiss and her heart melted into mine.
Where was the once pending storm?
I don’t know or care
then gave the wee one a kiss.
Our love is stronger than any storm . . .
and we drifted off to rest peacefully.

Crickets and rain drops outside my window,
Quiet my distracted soul
And not unlike a lullaby,
I feel my spirit finding rest
In You.

Here am I
Kneeling by my window
Mesmerized
By the gently falling rain.
Forgotten thoughts of troubles
Have slipped away
As though washed clean
by the droplets of
what surely must be living water.
Their delicate music sooths my soul
As tiny diamonds fall
Then leap into the air again
Reflecting rays of the hidden sun . . .
Never far away.
My soul rests,
Strengthened and refreshed
And ready for the challenges
Of a new day.

Days of raindrops
Tinkling like fingers on piano keys
As birds hover beneath a leafy umbrella
Singing along.
Some called it a gloomy day
But I am blessed.
The dust of yesterday is gone
As a new season
Is freshly polished
For tomorrow!

Words and image
Ah, gentle drum beats
leading to a crescendo;
Then comes the rainbow!

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”

It is pouring rain.
Here I sit in hope not felt
Yet I still believe.
I have not placed my fingers
In the holes . . . yet He filled mine.
