BLOOM!

May 9, 2019

After all, nothing depends on how things turn out–only on how you see them when they happen

DO YOU SEE THE ROSE OR THE THORNS?

HOPE CAN ALWAYS BE FOUND!

January 22, 2019

Among Weeds and Thorns

Digital Camera

When the garden is filled with weeds

Yet one stubborn flower

Finds the strength to grow,

Am I to frown

Because it is the only one?

Is it not a very welcomed blessing?

Surely its beauty

Nourishes my hungry soul

Giving me the strength

To tackle the overgrowth

Of opposition

Not unlike the single

Blooming rose

Basking in the midst

Of thorns;

Hope

Of a coming new season!

A single rose bloomed on a cold winter’s day!

I knew it was from You! –

Mid-Week Comfort – Bible Verse

September 12, 2012

I read this and was at once comforted, humbled, and excited!  Please read it through then read it a second time more slowly than the first.  Pause . . . reflect on it, and let the words wash over you.  You may want to read it another time or two letting the words speak to your heart.  It defines love in an amazing way – I pray it touches your heart!  It sure touched mine.

“The Lord your God is with you,
    he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

Restoration – A Tanka Poem

August 10, 2012

Restoration

Loud, angry voices

so often mere steps away

unjust, unwelcome . . .

Your love quietly rains down.

My wounded soul is lifted.

Help them see the rose

nestled there among the thorns.

Loves sweet aroma . . .

among makings of a crown

unworthy for my precious King.

Let me know your love.

Give to me a thankful heart,

filled with compassion.

Joy found among the wreckage . . .

unexpected beauty found!
