Finding Love

May 11, 2017

I primped and perfected

or so I thought

but felt nothing.

I floated in an ocean of if only

and why not

as the waves grew higher

and brought me down.

You reached out,

you lifted me up,

you loved me.

You saw your beloved

absent of all those doubts

and insecurities.

The waters stilled

and as I looked at my reflection in them

I saw you.

DEFINING LOVE

BUT WE ARE SAVED – SOAR!

April 17, 2017

The sad little bird,

caged for so long,

hopelessly yearned to fly.

One day,

the cage door was open!

But still he stayed inside,

not knowing what it was

to be free!

ARE YOU A THIEF?

April 3, 2017

Treasure Hunt

We search high and low,

seeing everything

and finding nothing.

Frowning becomes moaning

as we steal the joy from other hearts

and toss it away in disgust.

The challenge will never be met

lest we realize the Truth.

What we seek is already within us!
