THIS IS HE!

Recieving three gifts,

born in meager surroundings,

came our infant King!

NOT JUST AN ORDINARY DAY!

December 8, 2017

It Began Like Every Other Day . . . But Then

Jesus

A simple peasant girl

Answered yes

To a question

Which surely shocked her

And the world was changed

Forever.

Thanks, Mary.

The Child

November 18, 2015

Tiny fingers,

Tiny toes,

Filled with wonders

heaven knows.

Gently sleep my dear one.

You have changed my world.

Joseph’s Boy?

August 6, 2012

Sand in my sandals

Smiling, “How’s the catch today?”

Time to hit the road . . .

So hot walking in this heat . . .

Carpenter, Savior and King . . .

The Invitation – A Poem

August 5, 2012

The Invitation

The boundaries are gone.

A house with no walls

Surely can’t confine me.

You are near

Yet seem so far from me.

I am frozen in place.

I yearn for you

Yet I don’t even know

That it is you I seek.

I am imprisoned

By my own blindness

And as I grow weary and afraid

I cry out!

Before my words are formed

On my lips,

You hear my heart’s cry

And you are already here

Holding me close.

“My child, I’ve been waiting for you”

You softly whisper

As my soul takes wing

And you replace my broken heart

With your own.

Peace CANNOT Be Found!

July 11, 2012

It is true.

Don’t waste time running around looking for it.

It’s not out there.

Peace cannot be found.

You cannot buy it for any price.

Not gonna happen.

Don’t believe me?

Think I’ve lost my mind?

It has nothing to do with the mind.

That’s the point.

Looking for peace is like looking for a turtle with a mustache:

You won’t be able to find it. But when your heart is ready,

peace will come looking for you.

– Ajahn Chah –

Chah has it right.  It’s all about our hearts.  The truth is, we have peace in our hearts.  All we’ll ever need can already be found there.  Actually, all we will ever need and more is ours and we cannot look for it because it is already within us.  We simply need to release it.  How can we do this?  We simply surrender our lives . . . body, mind, spirit, to Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior.  Open the locked doors to those places in our hearts which are keeping us from all we’re meant to have and to be . . . and enter into fullness of life in Him.   What we need is there.

27 Peace I leave with you;

my peace I give you.

I do not give to you as the world gives.

Do not let your hearts be troubled and

do not be  afraid.

 -John 14:27-
