The gleaming sunrays

just like silly little elves

scamper in the breeze!

The sun still shines

on dark rainy days.

You can see it reflected

in EVERY puddle!

Bible Verse For A New Week!

November 11, 2012

March 10, 2012

Spring is in the air and so is the pollen.  Achoo.  Excuse me.  I am allergic to pollen but as a rule suffer as silently as I can.  Achoo.  Ooops.  Clearly, this first week of hearing the pollen count spoken of on the morning and evening news has upset things in my little world as sinus pressure revisited me and swollen eyes made me glad that in some important ways I can look upon life through the eyes of my heart . . . thank you Lord.

I have, however, been away from you for a wee bit, though, and I have missed my lovely group here, our body of Christ.  What a blessing it is to be invited and permitted to be a part of the body of Christ.

I slept in today and so as I supped a late cup or two of coffee, the morning news was finished and so with the mug in one hand, the other held the remote to the tv and surfed away . . . I quickly came in at the end of something and heard the words “throw stones at shiny things.”  I am not certain, taking the words out of context, if I was supposed to partake in the tossing of the stones or be on the receiving end.  Several thoughts came to mind as I absently surfed on . . .

Isaiah 9:2

King James Version (KJV)

2The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

John 1:5

King James Version (KJV)

5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Acts 12:7

King James Version (KJV)

7And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

Acts 7:57-59

King James Version (KJV)

57Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

58And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

59And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

We are called to witness to Christ in this world, and to reflect His glory, and shine in the darkness bringing His light to it.  Many before us and many still today find stones thrown at them for being part of the body of Christ.  We are in this world, but we are of the Kingdom.  How blessed are we?

Brothers and Sisters, we are called to a special purpose.  Shine on!
