Is The Game Over?

I ran fast,

I was so focused on the task at hand,

I caught the ball.

Oh, what a relief.

The challenger came so quickly,

and I was overwhelmed.

I dropped the ball.

I am crushed.

I am down.

I feel defeated.

But,

the game isn’t over

unless I stay down.

I rise again,

dust myself off.

Pushing aside the voice of distraction,

I focus on you

and the game goes on.
