LOOK FOR IT!

The sun still shines

on dark rainy days.

You can see it reflected

in EVERY puddle!

REFRESHED AND BLESSED

March 25, 2019

A lovely late spring day

promises a bit of refreshment

from sniffing and sneezing.

As I smile with unspoken joy

reflecting heavenward

from my appreciative smile

I feel a gentle breeze tickle me!

I find that a leaf laden branch from my tree

happily waves its many new leaves to its Maker

as it shares my joy

and springs into new life!

WEATHER OR NOT!

September 3, 2018

AT ALL TIMES GIVE THANKS

Smiling,

The cloud rained down.

The droplets kissed the dry land.

Refreshed and blessed,

The blades of grass looked heavenward

And the sun began to shine.

Blessed By Darkness and By Light

April 28, 2017

 God speaks to me 2

If it wasn’t for the storm

Would the dead wood remain standing?

Without its rain,

Would the pond still refresh my thirst?

Would the grass still grow and cushion my footsteps?

Would the garden still feed my body,

Feed my soul?

If it wasn’t for the storm,

Would I still see the sun and feel its warming rays?

Rejoice!

DO YOU SEE SILVER LININGS? I DO!

January 20, 2017

When I was a child, I loved laying in the grass looking up at the sky . . . I thought of who else, in some distant place, might be sharing it with me.  Birds flew about tweeting and I wondered what they said..  When clouds came in, I thought not of potential storms but of the interesting shapes . . . “that one looks like a bear!”  Even when it rained, I loved watching the droplets bounce off surfaces looking like tiny mirrors reflecting a world that fascinated me.

Have Faith, BUT . . .

November 23, 2016

I have been facing BIG challenges for a while, as many of us do.  People have “encouraged” me saying”have faith” followed by “most people never get help for . .. ” or “the new president is getting rid of . . . ” Fortunately I DO have faith, as did my family before me.

Limits?  Not my Lord!

My late Uncle Bob had only one arm.  As a child he played ball, rode his bike . . . he grew up and joined the yaught club, was a great golfer, personally rebuilt his house . . . I guess they forgot to tell him he could never do those things . . .
