Proud Of Our Youth

May 30, 2013

I was at a study group meeting at church tonight and the parking lot was so crowded on a Thursday night.  It brought a smile to my face and joy to my heart.  Sadly, I have belonged to churches which did not have that many on Sunday morning, but we had several groups meeting and eager participation.

One such group was our young people and the youth minister.  They are going on their second annual mission trip and have been hard at work planning and earning the funds needed to pay for it.  It was so awesome to see so many eager and happy faces crowding the room.  I was there to drop off the following donation I made for the auction:

This quilt is 18 x 24 inches and is shades of green, periwinkle and white.  I designed it and hand signed it and it nearly didn’t make it out the door since my Mom wanted us to keep it.  lol  I used a fabric scrap from my stash as the focus fabric and cannot get more of it, so since I have literally a 10 inch square of it left, I will try to replicate this in a smaller size so Mom can have one, too!  Don’t tell!
