THE JOYFUL JOURNEY

It was a beautiful day

When we began

But that was long ago.

I didn’t expect time to pass so slowly,

Nor the path to be so rocky

Or so steep.

I noticed though,

As I lay resting,

How sweet the grass and flowers smelled.

Such colors!

I never really noticed their beauty before.

So many varieties of flowers!

The sounds!

As I try to rush I miss them,

But at rest I hear the trickling of a stream

And the calls of wild things!

So vast a symphony,

I cannot name them all!

I love my journey with Him!

He calms my fear,’Guides and guards me!

My greatest joy?

Sitting close by the fire

And just listening

And being!
