The Daily Post

Preemptively missing The Daily Post? Seven-plus years of posts means there are tons of resources (including many you’ve probably never seen, so they’re new to you) to keep you inspired and busy. They’re not going anywhere, so you can come here and dig in at any time.

To get you started treasure-hunting in the archives, here are some of our favorite posts, handpicked by Daily Post contributors — and some of yours!

Picking a few favorites was hard! So I cheated, and picked one roundup post and one series: “The Principles of Design” posts, by our in-house designer Kjell, is an incredible collection of resources — from color to font to layout — with wealth of accessible tools for even the most design-challenged among us…

RE-CREATION

May 30, 2018

The hands of

the Mighty Artist

gather the broken pieces . . .

into such splendor!

Such beauty created!

Tears of sadness transformed

to tears of joy!

TWO MIRRORS

May 29, 2018

Ah, the juxtaposition of 2 Martha’s . . .  one who fusses over being perfect in every way but feels always to have failed, the other follows her Lord seeking to reflect only Him.  That one forgets the self,  and seeks to do more for her Beloved.

Oh, the challenge of being human. . . and the realization of which reflection brings true joy!

It’s good to see you again and welcome to the Tuesday Chatter Café! Take your time to relax and enjoy the chatter. You’ll find the café a friendly place to meet for coffee and chitchat. Just a reminder, constructive criticism is not always constructive.

Word of the week-obfuscate-verb-render obscure, unclear, unintelligible

synonyms-obscure, blur, confuse, perplex, baffle, befuddle, bemuse

“Jargon is a sure sign that intelligence has lost its way.”

Jibber jabber that doesn’t matter

Infotainment or entertainment

Intended to flatter or merely to clatter

Liar, liar, pants on fire

Do dog-eared pages make us inquire

Do you chinwag to baffle or win the raffle

Or intend to obfuscate familiar words

and redefine what’s already stirred

Liar, liar, pants on fire

Do we form a huddle just to befuddle

Or take a stand against the blather

Think about which you would rather

DANCING

May 28, 2018

There is something so restful

about a rainy day!

My worries are washed away

and whether they return

or not

I REALLY COULDN’T SAY!

The music of the droplets

beckon me along

for I cannot simply sit!

Refreshed,

I must dance to their song!

Doppelgänger? Eeeeek!

May 26, 2018

I am a northeast girl living in the south and it has taught me much!  I never met a Doppelgänger (that I know of) but moving here introduced me to lots of large and small scary looking potential ganger types anxious to make my acquaintence!

HELP!

ARE THESE Doppelgängers ?

DO THEY CONSIDER ME DINNER?
