TEACH US, LORD
October 31, 2018You created us as unique creatures with a purpose. Sadly, instead of giving yoou glory for this and learning from one another, we listen to the evil one and behave wickedly! Help us to reflect Your love and behave as one mutually supportive body in you as you intended and please forgive us for our failings, In Jesus’ holy name. Amen
LOST AND FOUND
October 29, 2018I fell to my knees
In the darkened space
With no sound but my own breath
But still
My soul heard your voice
And by the light of a single candle
I found The Way

MASKED OR NOT
October 29, 2018For a day
I can be a princess
with my mask,
low lights at night,
a bit of plastic and polyester. . .
I will fool everyone!
Ah, but am I merely
ephemeral or foolish as well?
The only one who matters
sees right through my disguise and
knew I was His princess all along!

Masquerade
October 27, 2018Beautiful! TO QUOTE Jordy “your inheritance,a dance with grace”
a dance with grace,
This was inspired by Sheryl’s Daily Word Prompt. Todays word is Masquerade.
It was also inspired by Martha Shaw’s post, The Lost. I reblogged it and encourage a visit to the post and her love full blog.

masquerade,
a kind of double entendre,
anonymity’s humor,
phantoms that project
hidden desires,
masquerading intention,
playing with fire
the costumes you wear,
are they your own?
who are you without the mask?
a masked other?
would you dare to look behind the face,
layer by layer,
and peel off the mask?
expression is hallow,
your inheritance,
a dance with grace,
uncovered, manifest

The Lost
October 27, 2018How sad it is
that so many
spend their entire lives masquerading
as someone else
only to leave this world sadly missing
the special one they were created to be . . .

Weather or Not
October 26, 2018Reigning
All life is poetry!
If we let it,
Sad becomes glad
And glad releases
Heaven’s tears of endless joy!

5 Minute Friday – Seasons
October 26, 2018Here’s a cannotmiss post! Fun, inspiring, thought provoking, and 5 minutes!
There’s a writing exercise that I used to participate in on Fridays. It was called 5 Minute Fridays – you take 5 minutes out of your Friday to write on a certain topic and don’t waste too much time worrying about editing or how you sound. I feel led to share some brief thoughts on seasons…so here goes nothing.
My favorite time of the year is Fall. The passing of old things brings color into our world for a season and then the earth groans its way through Winter until Spring comes, making all things new again. Interestingly enough, that’s the spiritual cycle of personal growth as well. The Lord seems to prune off the old branches and old leaves and as we watch them die their beautiful deaths, there is a glimpse of color and a new lens through which to see life through. And then the growing pains…

Some see things as they are and ask why— I dream things that never were and say why not.– George Bernard Shaw – |
